Tense- The play will be written in present tense mostly, but will be in past tense when each caracter tells thier personal expiriences in life. 
 
Protagonist- Tabitha, the valley girl will be the protagonist. She will be the character who changes for the better the most and tears down social barriers between the cliques. The play is also from her point of view. 
 
Major Conflict- All four characters are from different social cliques, valley girl, jock, outcast and nerd. This instantly creates friction between them. At first no one gets along or will even speak to each other, this causes tension. 
Rising Action: Four very different people have to attend detention and their personalities clash 
Climax: When the students talk about their lives, it takes an intense and serious turn 
Falling action: Detention comes to an end and the students are free to go home, ending the play 
Themes: different social classes can have many things in common
